YOKO YAMANO2018-09-27T09:02:16+00:00

Födelseår: 1978

She was born in Japan 1978 and has currently based in Stockholm, Sweden. She acquired the Master’s degree in Ceramics and Glass design at Konstfack. As an artist, she blows glass and produces her own works at glass studios to have exhibitions and to collaborate with restaurants, mostly in Sweden, other European coutries and Japan. Also as a designer, she collaborates with Reijmyre an old glass factory in Sweden. The concept of her work is to keep a healthy process, for workers and environment, from the beginning to the end. She seeks to create her craft and design-works with a noticeable but not forced human touch, like the slightly distortion running through a single line drawing in pencil. She believes that it has a beauty in that the warps can’t be made by calculated intention.
