Yoko Yamano is currently based in Stockholm, Sweden. As an artist, she blows glass and produces her own works for exhibitions and collaborations with restaurants, mostly in Sweden, other European countries and Japan. She also, as a designer, collaborates with glass factories and porcelain factories to create tableware. It is important for her to maintain a healthy production process for workers and environment. She seeks to create her craft and design-works with a noticeable but unforced human touch, like the slight distortion running through a single line pencil drawing, bringing out a beauty that evades calculated intention.
